TTC and Tattoos
Ok this is such a random question, but I'm not sure what I should do...
I have a tat on my foot that I got back in November and part of it needs to be touched up. It looks pretty ridiculous bc it is missing some spots. Do you think if I got it retouched this week it will be a problem?? I really want it to be finished before flip-flop season, but I also don't want to effect my TTC efforts AT ALL. I also def do NOT want to have anything to do with the needles while pregnant (that's def a no-brainer), so I want to get this out of the way...

Re: TTC and Tattoos
This may sound like a silly question but is getting a tattoo bad if you are pregnant or TTC?

IDK that's basically what I'm asking, too. lol I've never heard anything about it, but I would imagine that it could effect it. Not sure.

Re: TTC and Tattoos
As long as you are def not pregnant, then I would do it and get it done. I don't see a problem with it.
To the AP.... a good tattooer will not tattoo a person who is pregnant. A fetus reacts to your blood pressure and heart rate which changes when getting a tattoo.

Re: TTC and Tattoos
lol ok. I thought you knew that it was bad or something. If I was pregnant I would probably hold out till after the pregnancy but since you are TTC I would say go for it. I think the biggest issue is infection but that doesn't happen with every case

Re: TTC and Tattoos
Definitely finish the tattoo before you get pregnant.
You absolutely should NOT be getting a tattoo once there's a bun in the oven.
Last month my friend got her 1st tattoo and a few of us went with her for moral support-one of our friends is pregnant..well the tattoo guy thought SHE wanted the tattoo, and he was like "absolutely not".

Re: TTC and Tattoos
You should be fine - I got a new tattoo last September and i asked my dr about it beforehand if he thought it was ok. As long as you're not in the first trimester, they say it's fine. so if at all possible to schedule when you have AF, i'd do that so you know for sure you're not pregnant
Any tattoo artist will not tattoo you if you're pregnant or think you're pregnant anyway
