Had a bad training session!

Last tuesday,my trainer worked out my quads. I couldn't walk for the last two days. My muscles were so tight. I'm going to see my trainer next wed. I'm nervous to tell her about my pain. I don't want her to think I'm weak. I was going to ask her if she doesn't mind streghting afterwards with me. what do you think?

Re: Had a bad training session!

let your trainer know you were sore.....Mine always asks how I felt after the last workout. Also after your workouts up your water cause it will help to flush out the toxins released from the muscles and you wont be as sore.

Sore is good! Walking on the treadmill the next day will help too

please tell your trainer - you shouldn't be SO sore that you cannot walk. a little soreness isn't bad, but definitely tell them.

also make sure that you hydrate well before and after and eat after your workout.

Absolutely tell your trainer...being sore is a good thing absolutely but it's important for her to know if it was just too much! Hang in there!

definitely tell your trainer so she can alter things accordingly and teach you what to do the days following a tough workout

stretching will only help a little.....as you lift more you wont be as sore.....its really just time and water...its crazy how much the water will help and just dont drink more water right after....make sure you stay hydrated for the next few days.

It gets better and the more you work out the less sore you will be.

ETA even if you are sore try and do some cardio cause it will actually help....even if its just walking a bit on the treadmill at a slower pace then normal

If you used a little more weight than you should of, it's going to be sore. Definitely tell your trainer! They'll take it easier on you then. Make sure you also tell them that it's too much weight. Don't push yourself or you'll get hurt.
