Queens folk...
Can anyone recommend an Italian restaurant preferably in either Astoria or Forest Hills in which to hold a private event--maybe 40 people?

Ponticello in Astoria. They also have parking.
I've had every event from my communion to my baby shower there. My father & one of the owners are cousins.

I was going to sugest this place. It's soo good and they have different rooms and it's pretty inside too! My friend's bridal shower was there and it was great!

Definitely Portofino. The food is excellent and I have seen many parties there (including a wedding reception!).

Portofino was my favorite restaurant when I lived in FH. There isn't a private room, but there are two sides to the restaurant, and I've seen large parties on one side.

Re: Queens folk...
Thanks so much everyone!!
This question was for my DH who is the president of an Italian-American Attorneys assoc. and he was looking for a place to host an event. He called Portofino and it's perfect!
So thank you from me AND my DH!!
He'd better be taking me to dinner at one of these places next though...
