Question about ovulation

Hey,

I've done a good deal of reading - but apparently I'm still dumb on this one......

I can easily feel cramps when I'm ovulating - no question about it. My question is this: if I have the cramps and know it's "happening"....is that too late to BD and hope for the best? My sense is that we need to BD before the cramps come.

Any thoughts? TIA.

I tend to get ovulation pain like 3 days before I actually ovulate. So when I feel the pain Im actually not ovulating yet. Are you using OPKs? I would use those just that you can better pinpoint your most fertile time

I don't think going by O pains will give you the most accurate shot at

OPKs are great for that because they predict the window of time when O will occur.

great - thanks for feedback. I have OPKs, but haven't used them yet. We're just starting to try, and I didn't want to over-stress myself from the get-go. Maybe I'll try them, as the wondering seems to be stressing me just the same.
