How long do you freeze meats?
I always figure not to exceed a month. yesterday I bought pork ribs, 6 chicken breasts & 4 beautiful steaks. DH announced he's not eating any food until after my Best friends wedding on March 6th. He's "too fat" apparently- 
I don't actually give him past Monday but I'm j/w how long until the meat tastes like freezer burn?

I am pretty sure I've cooked meat that was frozen for like 6 months and it was ok.

I asked the butcher in my local grocery store and he said as long as you freeze it BY the FREEZE BY date... then you are ok for max 6 months. But if it has ice crystals formed on it, no good.

We go by 3-6 months, but usually not more than 3 or 4 months.

same as pp's, max 6 months. But be sure to double bag it to avoid freezer burn, and dont keep it on the door of the freezer.
