Pasta Help for Superbowl
Not sure how many people I am going to have but the most will be 15. I was wondering if I just made pasta with sauce how much for this amount of people. I also am planning on appetizers, meatballs, sausage, a 3ft. hero with salads and a green salad. And of course dessert :) Thanks.

Re: Pasta Help for Superbowl
I would say maybe 3 - 4 pounds of pasta max. I usually make 1 pound when I have 4 people over for dinner, and I usually make too much. I also don't normally serve that with all the other stuff you have. I'd think you might be fine with 3 pound with all that other food.

Re: Pasta Help for Superbowl
I think 3 would be good. I made a pasta salad with 4 lbs of pasta this summer for a party and there was lots of other food...needless to say Dh and I were eating leftowver pasta salad for literally a week!!
Also, my friend just made baked ziti this weekend for a get together in which she had heros, salad, pasta/potato salad & cold slaw. THere were 15 women..she made 3 lbs. She had an entire tray left over.

Re: Pasta Help for Superbowl
I would make two. You can easily make a third if need be, but to have that much pasta leftover?

True. A lb. would be like a meal and a half for the 4 of us :0

I would do 2lbs., especially if it just as a side. I even think you might have a little left over.

Re: Pasta Help for Superbowl
for thanksgiving eve i made a pound of mac and cheese with 7 people eating it (2 of those children) there wasn't much left (maybe 1 small serving). that was the only thing my family ate that night.
so i would suggest at least 3 lbs. you could always make it in 3 separate trays and if put one or two out and have the extra in the fridge and make it later.

I agree, 2 should be enough if it is not the main course
