Wow, sorry Megan, I cant believe how some of these posts are mean. Having 2 dogs myself I see where you are coming from but I dont think you should be mad, think of the money you will be saving and you will have a new fence in your yard too. I love your two lil cuties too!!! when we were having our fence put in they took it down 1 week before and we walked the dogs, they actually loved it too. Dont worry it will go fast lets just hope we get nice weather too!!!!

i would NEVER NEVER do that. It's there fence not ours..... i know that i judt didnt understand why they had to take it down more than 2 weeks ahead of time? these people have been awesome to us I would never say anything to them.
OH, duh reading ur original post I realized you weren't going to say anything- the thread just decided you were..
I was thinking though, for my beagle I have a lead for him -they are pretty cheap and he likes it a lot. I just hook him up to the lead and he walks around sniffing and then just sits down and watches whats going on. I dont know how that would work with 2 dogs, but the pet store should know. That would be a temp. solution. Also, it would be good to have while the men are putting up the fence so your dogs dont bother them.

I wouldn't be mad, I'd even probably offer to pay my 50% of the fence covering my yard.
I do see the inconvenience though. I hope the 2 weeks go fast for you, especially with 2 puppies.

Thats a good idea. When we go to the beach we use a stake that goes in the ground and a tie out.

it is someones opinion...they are entitled
I have a dog...And yes it is an inconvenience....but i chose to have the dog, to which comes with the responsibilities of owning one...
So being mad or p!ssed that someone is doing home renovation is just silly
As i said...it certainly does s*ck....
but it isn't a lifetime...it is about two weeks and it is spring...
walking the dogs shouldn't be that much of an inconvenience

Did you read them all? I felt that this part could have been left out and wasnt very nice.
ETA: I had to come back in to this thread to ask, CAN YOU REALLY BE FREAKING SERIOUS? I am truly in disbelief that you feel the right to be mad over this. Actually, I find it quite nervy and ridiculous. Get your own damn fence to protect your dogs if it's such an issue for you. Imagine if they just decided to take their fence down!

to answer your original question, no you should not be mad. they told you when they plan on taking down the old fence, and it kind of s ucks, but thats the way it is.
like others have said, why not just put up your own fence?

In reference to the meanness factor of my post—I won't apologize for my response, it certainly wasn't meant as a personal attack. Megan could be the sweetest girl in the world and it doesn't make any difference to me, what I wrote I would say to my best friend if she came to me with the same issue. I thought it was quite a selfish and ridiculous thing for her to feel anger over and I said so. I do believe the poster asked for opinions on the subject, no? I don't feel the need to sugar coat my opinions and I have a sincere appreciation for people who do the same.

Its almost  how people tend to have no opinion and go with the flow here,I'm assuming- just to be liked. Its no big deal if people differ in opinion,its what makes it interesting.
As for the post,if you're not willing to dish out the money- ya gotta zip your lip and wait out the 2 weeks. Then enjoy your new fence,compliments of your neighbors
