Wish us luck (UPDATE)
My fil is having quadruple bypass tomorrow out of town  so my MIL and SIL are going to be with him
that means, we are watching their 140lb Rottweiler, Bullet
He is GREAT with my kids and a pretty decent dog overall...BUT....at our home is also my mom's 16lb dog (he is a male as well as the rottie)
please reassure me that this 140lb dog is not going to eat my mom's dog 
they seemed OKAY last night together...but bullet, the rottie, would follow Harry wherever he went. If harry went left, bullet would go in front of him and stand there (I guess asserting his dominance)....
I am hoping that since harry is so submissive, that bullet will not see him as a challenge and leave him be
any advice / suggestions?

UPDATE - day one was a success, the dogs were fine and by the end of the night, they were pretty much ignoring each other  
although Bullet WAS trying to hump harry

First off  for your FIL and fmaily.
As for the doggies, I just dealt with this over Christmas. We had to keep an eye on them at all times when they were together. When we could not be there with them they were separated. We didn't experience many issues but there was one room in the house that both doggies showed some aggression/dominance issues. After about 7 days they finally started to play around.

Thanks, I am not sure if I can tell signs of dominance, I just ASSumed that when bullet would block harry's path, that was his way of showing dominance
Bullet lives with 2 cats so he is used to small creatures
I am hoping that since harry is so submissive, bullet will leave him alone....
