Here are some reccs for great snacks for dieters:
Trader Joe's fruit strips: they are roughly 50 calories each, and are all fruit. No added sugar, so the calories are "good" It is just dried fruit pulp in a strip form. My DS loves them , too! They are 55 cents a strip.
Raw Revolution Bars: all raw, with dates, cashews, agave syrup, etc....filling and very good for you. Can be found in supermarkets in health food/power bar section. About 1.50 a bar. VERY FILLING!!
WW yogurt and strawberries - a no brainer!
Make a juice out of carrots, apples, ginger, celery, and lemon. Filling and tasty. Drink right away.
String beans with a bit of olive oil and garlic powder. Yummy!
I also love the trader joe's frozen lasagna or eggplant parm. They are about 270 calories for a meal and are delicious!! They are about 2.79 a meal

I just wanted to mention on all my natural food boards there is a lot of buzz about Agave nectar being bad because (I'll post a link to the whole article about how it's made & all I'm just summarizing here):
1. It's not actually 'natural' - it's processed &highly refined 2. It's the same calories as sugar 3. It actually has more concentrated fructose than high-fructose corn syrup.
The only 'good thing' - yes, it does have a lower glycemic index than other sweeteners, but that's only because the glycemic index only measures the glucose in it NOT the fructose.

Do you all want me to shut up with my food posts yet???

Please don't shut up, I read a ton about this stuff too and appreciate your input and wisdom.
I have a friend who swears by agave nectar. I don't ad sugar to anything and if I do it's maybe a little Splenda...but for some reason have not ventured out to try this stuff.
What are some of the natural food boards that you read?
Thanks again!
