Remodeling, any experience with Alure?
We're planning on remodeling our bathroom and master bedroom in the coming months. I'm starting to get several quotes this month from recommendations & larger companies I've seen advertised to compare and wanted to see if anyone has ever used Alure Home Improvements for any remodeling?
If you'd rather FM, please feel free. I'd love to know any experiences anyone may have had with them.

I have a friend who sued them for their work. I've also heard they are WAY overpriced.
I'll leave it at that.

big companies = big price. Alure is $$$$ my mom and dad got prices from them and they were like 20-30K more then who they went with.
I would get an estimate but def. shop around.

that was out quote. And the person that came to the house was supposed to be someone that could help out with layouts....yeah right,  she didn't give us any advise. I came up with the plan for our kitchen. They wanted $35K just for our kitchen. I got my kitchen, new wood floors on the whole main level, two skylights, new roof and my gas conversion for less then that. So no I wouldn't recommend even getting a quote from them.

my parents had a really good experience with them. they wanted their kitchen done in 2 weeks and not 3 months or worse like all of their friends were telling them it would take. allure was done in 2 weeks. gorgeous kitchen, but overpriced.

totally overpriced and I was insulted byt he salesman that came over. He showed us how the renovations would add value to the house from an article from 2005! seriously? 2005 - what am I an a-hole and never heard of the housing bubble?

I haven't used them but did get a price quote from them when we were siding our house. They were crazy expensive and gave a very lengthy sales pitch.

The quote we got from them to finish our basement was $75,000! Yes, 75 THOUSAND DOLLARS for a basement! The rep that came to our house was like a used car salesman. He would not take no for an answer. After two hours of his sales pitch I had to politely ask him to leave. The next day and for several days after we were inundated with phone calls. It was ridiculous! I would NEVER use them!
