I didn't mean to offend anyone by saying that I thought three year old breastfeeding was "odd" but I KNOW for myself that i will not do it past a certain age...when they start asking for it is when i draw the line. I don't care what others do, whatever works for you is fine!
BUT yes I have witnessed toddlers pulling on their mothers shirts to feed wherever they are-and I don't like it. Its just my feeling. I don't really understand it, maybe when i become a mom i'll be more understanding but for now it weirds me out

My goal was 1 year..I made that. If we were actually nursing I would not have just stopped due to the calendar. I would have stopped when Molly was ready.

I nursed Damien for 22 months, I would have done it as long as he wanted (within reason of course ) But he self weaned. I set little goals for myself. 3 months, 6 months, 9 months etc. I found it easier that way. I also agree once you are BF your feelings about it may change drastically
