Are you a measurer?
I find that when I am following a recipe, I really never measure. I just go by my eye. I NEVER measure when I am cooking something from thought, or something new I am trying.
Do you measure, and follow recipes to the T?

Re: Are you a measurer?
I eyeball everything.. which is why I feel bad when giving out recipes.
When I BAKE (which is rarely) I measure EVERYTHING precisely.

Re: Are you a measurer?
I am also not a measurer when I am cooking. I taste until it's right...and have the same problem with recipes when it's one of my own concoctions.
I also try to bake a lot, and there i try to have the precision of a chemist.

Re: Are you a measurer?
I always measure. I am way more precise when I cook, though - a lot easier for me to screw that up. Baking is way less precise for me. (and so much more fun to do!)

Re: Are you a measurer?
When first time making a recipe I do my best to follow recipe but I do make occasional adjustments as needed.
Baking is a whole other story and I dont do it often.......usually just use the box stuff b/c it tastes so much better than anything I make

Re: Are you a measurer?
I don't measure when I cook. Baking requires measuring and that's way too legitimate for me.

Re: Are you a measurer?
i measure for both. it's necessary to be precise when baking certain things. cooking, i don't have the confidence in my cooking not to measure!
