Question

DH and I are thinking about TTC in May...I'm currently on BCP's. I would like to try for a girl since we will only be having one more DC..
From what i understand you should BD a day or two BEFORE ovulation. SO, my question is...for those you of you that have always had a pretty regular period..and use ovulation kits...do you generally ovulate on the same day each month? I'm asking because i was thinking of going off BCP before we start TTC so i will have an idea when I ovulate and when we should BD. I guess its trickier when you want to BD a day before ovulation.

every woman is different and every woman ovulates differently. The best way to track if you ovulate is to temp and check your CM. It is definitely best to BD every other day during your fertile period, everyday when you approach ovulation and one day after ovulation.

Also, many women who come off BCP don't ovulate right away, it takes a few cycles for your body to start Oing.
