Should I Get a Blood Test?

17dpo according ot FF. 8dpo according to TCOYF. So far all BFN's Temps still elevated above coverline. Should I call the doc tomorrow and ask for a blood test so I can at least know for sure either way? Will they even do it? At this point I just want to know either way. Last cycle LP was only 13 days so this is driving me crazy!

I know this must be hard for you (I went through this last month). I think you should wait till you are at least a week to 2 weeks late before getting a blood test. There was a girl last month that kept testing BFN until she was VERY late. And then there was me who possibly tested BFP early just to have AF come 2 days late.

I would give it until you're at least 14DPO according to TYOYF. This wait no matter what metric you use to calculate how many DPO you are it's still enough time that has passed where you should be able to get an + on an HPT and the doctor would do a blood test for you without questioning much. (because *technically* if you are only 8DPO that is still early) I would call in a few more days. Good luck!!!! I hope this is a late BFP for you!!

Thanks for the advice ladies! I know I should have waited but I'm impatient so I called the doctor and spoke to him. We made an appointment for Wednesday if AF doesn't show. He said that way I'll either be 20dpo or 18dpo.
We'll see what happens!

I am 2 days late and I was scheduled for blood work this am and I just asked them to add in that test

so I agree with you- I would check it out- why not?

Ditto what others said. I'd wait until you're late on TCOYF's schedule. If it turns out that you're really only 8dpo, it's probably too early.

I think (you can check w/ your doc). that you can do the blood test once you are 10 dpo. as long as TCOYF shows you are 10 dpo you should be OK.

I am impatient too and I would NOT be able to hold of another week!!!
