Does anyone believe/follow in feng shui?
To be honest, I never thought about it much. I'm sure my home is set up all wrong. But the other day I was reading an article talking about feng shui and it said if you're trying to have a baby, clear the clutter out from under your bed, don't vacuum or sweep under it, and place something child-related (a pic of child, a toy, etc) in the room.
So after I got AF this morning, I thought, what the hell? I'll try anything! I mean, really, if only it were that simple, but I shouldn't have so much clutter stuffed under the bed anyway.
So I filled a trash bag with lots of crap and on my way to the garbage I told DH, well if there's any truth to this stuff, it makes sense that we haven't gotten pregnant yet.  I had no idea how much I was hoarding under there!
Anyway, just thought I'd share.

I beleive the "3" aspect in feng shui...say if your decorating the top of the fireplace there should be 3 things on it to balance it out, say 2 figurines (or whatver) and one large mirror/picture.
There should always be a nice flow in the house. I do beleive in it but I don't know too much about it.

I think it is positive energy that makes it work. Cleaning out just makes it nicer, therefore making a positive environment. Makes you happy. Makes you feel more 'alive'. Makes total sense. I keep trying to tackle cleaning anyway, that's another good spot to work on!

ITA! I always feel less stressed when the house is clean so maybe that's what helps.
