Should both ovaries have follacles...
Ill start by saying I went for a sono to see if I have a septum in my uterus. I have to go for an HSG to see if there is indefinetly a septum. I have one child alreday and had no issues with preterm labor.
When they did the sono I seeon the paper that only one ovary(left) has follicles...
My righ ovary had none-I had tube removed 3 years ago after an ectopic..
Should both ovaries have follacles n a sono-there were no issues with my ovary during the surgery that I had, they did nothing to the ovary...
Im getting the test done to check my uterusnow im nervous that I will have a hard time getting pregnant again, we have tried a few times and no success...
also note-i ovulate one ,onth after my period not 2 weeksss...
Would I see an infertility specialist or is there another Uterus Specialist type dr....sorry for the zillion questions...

my left might as well just disappear. I'm not even sure I O out of it at all.
yes, you can still get pregnant with one ovary working.

Re: Should both ovaries have follacles...
If they removed your fallopian tube, the egg produced by that ovary will never get to your uterus: You really have 1 ovary that you are working with.
You are still able to get pregnant with one ovary functioning.
It sounds like you are going through the right steps & if they (your RE or GYN) sees a uterine septum, they may send you to see a specialist for that.

if you are trying without medical intervention having one tube will hurt your chances.

Re: Should both ovaries have follacles...
ETA I go preggo first time trying both times, ectopic first, 2nd was normal...but at that time maybe my ovaries were both working??
Do you alternate each month? Can the one take over and O every month? I seem to ovulate each month i think...

Re: Should both ovaries have follacles...
My left ovary always was the one that produced the follies. Although my right would have some super tiny ones measuring less than 10. My left would produce several large ones each cycle.
