Why am I such a spaz?
For the life of me, I can NOT apply liquid eyeliner!!!
I keep trying, but it gobs up in my lower lashes and doesn't go on evenly, and then I look like a football player when I'm done 
I used the one with the thin tapered brush, have read how to's, but it just won't work for me!!!

Lancome has one that is more like felt tip marker than a soft brush. Funny, I am okay at applying them but I have trouble holding a camera steady to take a photo  .

I'm a nightmare at it too, and if one more makeup artists tell me, "it's easy, you just have to practice"...I'm going to lose it!

I only use liquid eyeliner on my upper lids...never on the bottom.
Your prob better with pencil for bottom & use luquid for upper...

I can kinda so it but it took me about 4 years of trying different types & techniques to learn how.
And it still takes a log time b/c I have to go slow & I mess it up 95% of the time, but I only make tiny mistakes now.
On the bottom, I dot it between my lashes they a re dark, so it looks better than it sounds.

I refuse to use it I use waterproof gel liner instead, it goes on really smoothly and stays put. My fav is the 24/7 liner from Urban Decay (it's $17 but I love them so much I own 4 colors  )

You should youtube some videos of how to apply liquid eyeliner. They'll give you some how-to's...
It is tough though...

same here! I thought I was the only one. My mom always gets me the Mac liquid eyeliner. I just prefer the pencil.

The trick is to use liquid liner only on your lid and then use a pencil on your water line

Me too. Gel on the top and pencil lower.
I found out that it wasn't my lower liner that was smudging. It was the upper and now that I use gel it doesn't move!
that was just an fyi..additional info no charge.

I never apply liquid on my lower line - just a bit from the outer corner maybe 1/4 way to the the inner. Then I line with pencil.
My fave is Maybelline's old school one. The felt tip liquid eyeliners suck.
Worst case scenario - make a thick line and clean it up with a moistened q-tip. Then you won't feel as pressured to make the line perfect.

Yes. And practice does make perfect. I can use the liquid eyeliner on my top lid and do it in a cinch...but I have been doing it since I was in HS For the waterline I always use pencil.

I can't use any liner! (other than on the waterline which is pretty easy)
On the top, I use a shadow and an angle brush. I find it MUCH easier!
