I am glad my love of animals is rubbing off on my one year old DD
B/c my dds first real word is DOGGIE!!!!
I always refer to our dogs as doggies, or her toy dogs as doggies. Then the other night we were watching Sesame st and there was a dog on the screen with Elmo. Elmo calls the dog doggie but I didnt hear this.
DD pointed to the screen and said DUDDIE DUDDIE! I knew it then for sure that was what she was saying! Even now when our dogs walk into the room she screams DUDDIE DUDDIE! Or when she looks at her diapers, they have Sesame characters on them with dogs and cats, she says DUDDIE DUDDIE when holding the diaper looking at the dogs.
 . It thrills me that his is her first real identifiable word other than mama, dada, hi. I hope she loves animals as much as I do.

DH and I joke that James' first sentence is going to be "Lilly, stop licking the baby!" It's become the most repeated phrase in our house lately.   
(she likes to "help" and lick whatever he spits up  )

Honestly this post gives me the chills.. I hope Viviana follows in her footsteps!!! I would be thrilled!!! Does is sound like doodey ??LOL I cant take the sweetness

Not DOODEY like poop. But DUDDIE, like Buddie with a d. It's freaking adorable. I should try to get a video so you can see.

My heart melts. I can see how her eyes light up when they enter the room. She just LOVES them. Even my boy who can be mean to her. She doesn't even blink an eye at it. She accepts him for the crazy boy he is.  But mommy has to watch him b/c I know better, he can't control himself, he gets like a loon when he wants to play.
