Dr. Kofinas & Insurance?
Just finished first IUI with Dr. B, but I was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Antibodies/clotting issue. Dr. B has me on baby aspirin predisone for the 2ww, but if I get a BFP I want to see a peri in addition to my OB. How does the INSURANCE work with Kofinas? Can you go to Kofinas if you have GHI? I am an NYC DOE Teacher.

Kofinas is amazing. He just accepts the out-of-network my insurance pays him.

I see him also and am out of network. At my first appt, I brought a portion of my copay. If I get a BFP by the end of this month, than I just finish paying off the balance.
He's wonderful and definitely worth any out of pocket expense.

he is my doctor and basically he only takes insurances that has out of network.. and then you have to pay your deductible, and copays from then on.
he is amazing!

They took me as out of network. I pay the regular copay (usually $30 for blood and sono) and then the checks come to my house and I endorse them over. I just drop them off whenever I get them on my next appt. I love Dr. B, he is great. I think I've met and been probed by almost every doctor in the facility. He has great bedside manner.
