Had my Level II...
And they "think" it is a boy.
She said she thought it was a boy, but was not positive. I said so what are you saying, don't go painting the room blue? and she said I would wait until you have another sonogram.
So annoying! My Dh and I were excited to find out and I feel like the whole thing was ruined. I wish she just would have said I can't tell the sex instead of saying "I think". 
I also was not happy with the whole experience in general. I went to South Nassau and I felt like they just were not friendly. Plus I had the sonogram done in a room where you go behind a little curtain and there are literally people sitting and waiting their turn at your feet on the other side!
I got my 12 week one done at Manhassaet and I should have went back there.
I called my DR and they said my next sonogram prob. won't be until 35 weeks! I have an appoitnment there in a week 1/2 and I am going to beg him to do one for me in his office to see if he can tell.
Oh well, Sorry so long but I had to vent!!!

Awww....I'm sorry you couldn't find out for "sure".
This is my biggest fear about the level II....I'm so excited and I'm afraid I'll get a disappointment also and they won't be able to tell.

I'm sure you were so excited to find out the sex, only to have such a rotten experience all the way around 
I have heard of this happening now and again, and they usually will bring you back for another sonogram and not make you wait until 35 weeks - I would call your doctor and see what he/she says!

OMG! Nat that stinks!! I hate South Nassau. I would call your doctor ASAP, and tell him/her you want another one done, and at a different place. I'm so sorry you had such a tough time. Hopefully next time they will know for sure!

Also forgot to add how at the check in desk they were telling me I should not have the level II until after 20 weeks. I am 19w 4d and i know you can have it anytime after 18 weeks!!! i said I am going to be away my 20th week and she said well you can have it when you get back...I would have been furious if they sent me home!
Also, the tech told my Dh to wait outside and they will call him in at the end, since it is a long test. How rude, I have him come with me and you won't let him in???

IF they think it is a boy it probably is...during one our earlier sono's they said the same and today it turned out that they were correct...I can see why your frustrated and I would ask to have another sono sooner...

Def ask the Dr for another sono, I don't think that he'll refuse...
