Help, what do you I make/bring?
My research group is having a small end of the semester dinner next week...
I said I'd bring an app or a side..
One guy in my group is a "dairy, egg eating vegan"
So does that mean he eats all veggies? What do I make? Help?

I would take it he just doesnt eat meat?
How about some roasted veggies w/ maybe some olives platter?
The hummus and veggies idea is great as well.
How about spinach dip bread bowl?

wouldnt that just be vegetarian? I thought vegans dont eat any animal product/bi-product?
That's about right... he's not a vegan. So.. anything without meat seems fair game. Maybe stuffed mushrooms? My sister makes a vegetarian version with shredded wheat and cheese and no meat or fish of any kind. A veggie crudite with ranch dip, Mini Pizzas, a spinach dip in a pumpernickel bowl, quiche, pears and brie, bruschetta on garlic rounds, avocado quesadillas.. your choices are seriously limitless!

that's what i was thinking - he isn't a vegan if he eats dairy
i love pitted dates filled with goat cheese, spinach artichoke dip, a wheel of brie with dried apricots on top and then encased in a puff pastry sheet and baked, zucchini fritters....
maybe you can find more ideas here. http://www.vegcooking.com/FoodTypeAppetizer.asp

Thanks for the website...
I think he calls himself a dairy-egg-eating-vegan more as a funny thing, but I wanted to be sure
