Rehobath Beach, DE
Anyone rent a house here? Is it a fun place for kids? We are looking to have a small family reunion (12 adults, 7 kids) at a beach that is the most equi-distant for everyone (NY, NC, PA, OH). We want one house for everyone to stay in. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Re: Rehobath Beach, DE
I have rented places in Ocean City MD...which isnt far and used VRBO.com
You can put in an area then see the places, most of them have pictures of the rooms. They also will tell you have many beds in each bedroom and what types...like one queen and a twin or whatever. so you can see if this configuration works for your family.
I have never stayed there but driving through, it seems like a very family friendly place, quiet and some beautiful beaches. And if you want to go some where more exciting, Ocean City MD isnt too far away and they have a big boardwalk.

Rehobeth is so nice. My family owns a house in Bethany Beach right next to it. Bethany is smaller, but it is great for kids.

Re: Rehobath Beach, DE
I love Rehobeth and that whole area! You cannot go wrong with the Delaware beachs, they are gorgeous! I have never stayed in a house but have been out to eat and stuff there (our friends live in Lewes). So I have been to Bethany, Lewes, Rehobeth and Dewey! Also I got to OC every summer which is so fun but very run over if you know what I mean. The boardwalk is great for kids, so much to do but the beaches are packed. I still love OC but do love Delaware too. The beaches in Delaware may be less packed, esp if you get a private beach home.

Re: Rehobath Beach, DE
We went in August 2007. We had a great time and I highly recommend it over Ocean City, MD. Rehoboth is a very family friendly town. My boys were 1 and 3 when we went. We rented through VRBO. No problems with the rental.
Bethany and Dewey are also nice but I prefer Rehoboth.
Feel free to FM if you have any questions

Re: Rehobath Beach, DE
My husband and I stayed in a B&B over the summer in Rehobath Beach, we LOVED it there! It was our first time in Delaware and a lot of people we mention it to, no one seemed to know much about the area, but we LOVED it!! We will return - not anytime soon, expecting twins in July. We are child free and had a great time eating out all the time and we did spend an afternoon in Ocean City, easy trip.

We always get a house in OC MD but we go to the Rehoboth boardwalk every year. I personally like it much better than OC and think its great for kids.
