Male Fertility after Cytoxan?
I'm not sure if anyone can help me but i'm hopeful. Has anyone had any experience or have any informaiton regarding male fertility after Cytoxan treatment?
DH has a rare disease and has been treated with Cytoxan (a form of chermotherapy) orally for just over a year now. Before we started, we were advised that it can potentially cause Male Infertility....there was no way of knowing for sure or even it would be temporary or permant. Does anyone have any info?? Moreso...any success stories after treatment would be so helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Male Fertility after Cytoxan?
This is a very old post but thought maybe it could help someone looking into it......
My husband was on oral cytoxan for 6 months. He was taken off of it and started on cellcept. He had 3 sperm analysis tests in over a year and his sperm count went down to 0.00. The doctors kept telling us to kepp hoping he would regenerate sperm some day (we didn't freeze any ahead of time because we were not informed of the dangers of cytoxan). After 1 year and 4 months off cytoxan and our last SA before we planned to give up suddenly he came back with 2.8 million sperm! 2 days later I took a pregnancy test and we found out we are expecting! It is a miracle.
So for any men out there that have taken cytoxan there is some hope.
