Possible IUI
Ok, so just got back from the RE. Got AF for the 2nd month in a row(after 17 mn with no AF). He determined I OV but we had no luck getting PG. The chance of OV again, is minimal, but he seems to have hope that I will again next week. So he set me up for OV monitoring with possible IUI. This is my first time dealing with the possibility of an IUI and even trigger.
If anyone could offer any insight to the process that would be extremely helpful. I really dont know what to expect. TIA.

Re: Possible IUI
For an iui generally they like the follies around 18-21. They will monitor you with blood and sono. If you O on your own than 24 hours after a postive O test you will have your iui. If you don't O on your own you will take an hsg trigger shot aka Ovidrel or similar drug. You inject the shot into your stomach (small needle, little pinch), and than you will have your iui between 24-36 hrs after the injection.
An iui is really painless. Your DH or partner supplies the semen sample, they wash the sperm and than they perform the iui. Than you wait 2 weeks and take a pg test.
