I have even had a prenatal visit yet
They scheduled my first vist for may 10 and I will be 8 weeks then.....this is so different from the last 2 pregnancies .
The first visit she said they will do a sonogram
Is this normal?

I think so. I had my first visit at 6 weeks, but go for sonogram at 8. Since I was moving I just watned to get the ball rolling ASAP so I am up to date and to squeeze in a final appt. before we leave. They said as long as you are not having any problems, 8 weeks is fine.

I had my first appointment at 8 weeks. I think it's pretty normal.

yes, this is pretty normal. Mine was scheduled for when I thought I was six weeks, and I ended up being only 4.5 weeks. I think that's why they wait until 8 weeks.
ETS: Yes, they did a sonogram.

They didn't want me sooner than 7 weeks for my first. It was so hard waiting.

The nurses originally told me the doctor doesn't usually see patients until 8 weeks, however I was high risk for ectopic so he did a quick ultrasound at 5 weeks to make sure it wasn't in my tube. Then I started spotting alot so I see him every 2 weeks.

this is normal I had my first visit yesturday and I am 8 weeks and they said if they would have known i was 8 weeks they would have had me have my sono yesturday but the tech wasnt there so I have to go back tuesday so yes its normal

Just last week I had my first appt at 5 weeks, he did a pap,the BP and weigh thing at usual exams, a urine test to check for PG/sugar and other things cant remember, an internal & breast exam and we went over some questions I had. This wed I go for my sonogram it will be 6 weeks. And then from that appt he said we schedule my first Prenatal visit. Im surprised how doctors are very different.
