just google Penzeys spices.

A magazine subscription to a cooking magazine.

How about an assortment of exotic sea salts from around the world? I've seen them in different colors, flavors and scents from rose colored crystals scented with rose water to black cyrstals (I think from Hawaii). They come in cellophane bags and your could tie them with pretty ribbon. Very different!

How much do you want to spend?

I love getting specialty items as gifts... because they might be things I wouldn't think of getting for myself that can push your cooking to the next level... KWIM?

I love the magazine subscription idea too! I love my cooking mags!
