What to expect with IVF -starting soon w/update
I know there are a ton posts but I'm not really sure of the process.
I'm calling the dr tomorrow since i've been spotting all day today and it should be the first full flow day for me. On a side note, i'm not even sure if today would really count or not since i'm bleeding but nothing is coming out.
I don't know when I would start anything. I know i'd need to start BCP but not sure when.
Any insight would be appreciated!

Re: What to expect with IVF -should be starting soon
I am not allowed to use the BCP for my cycles, so I can't offer much info for your protocol. But when you call Dr the office will let you know if spotting counts for a day. In my office it needs to be a full flow to count as day 1.
Good luck!!!

Re: What to expect with IVF -should be starting soon
If I remember correctly this was how my IVF cycles went:
Got period - Started BCP
BCP - 2 Weeks added Lupron
Lupron and BCP for 5 days, stopped BCP got my "lupron period" about 3 or 4 days later.
CD3 Bloodwork - Started Stims that evening. (continued on Lupron until trigger)
My first IVF I was a very slow responder and stimmed for I think 14 days
My 2nd IVF I stimmed for only 9.
Good luck!

Thanks! That definetely helps. I think it's similar to the protocol they want me on but they wanted me on BCP for 3 weeks. Maybe thats because I have PCOS? Not really sure.
I called this morning and because its Sat and my doc is not in they aren't sure what we are going to do yet. The nurse said something about needing BCP for 3 weeks and not meeting the Dec 3 cut off date if that's the case. She's going to try to get in touch with my doctor to see if i can be on it for less time. Either way i need to call back tomorrow if i don't hear from her.
I'm nervous because i don't want to lose a cycle either way. I know that if i don't do anything, i went get AF next month and i'll have to start provera which which will only take longer! At least if i do clomid but no IUI, I know I will.

I had pretty much the same protocol except that I think I stimmed for about 9 days or so. Good luck
