airline prices, would you wait?

So hoping to get away in January. I would LOVE to go out of Islip, but the price is $200 more total than going out of LGA. Do you think there is a chance the price will come down? Should I wait a bit, anyone have insider info. HAHA

Hmmm...Thats a decent savings, I'd probably just go out of La Guardia because if the price didn't come down and I got screwed, I'd be sooo pizzed!!!

Orlando, and this is the first year I have had to pay for 3, so looking for the best value. I booked Jet Blue, I was annoyed though because the price went up as I was booking, and there was plenty of seats on the plane. I called and complained, but got nowhere Chat Icon

I do like to fly jet blue though!

They're offering special rates starting today and it looks like travel to Orlando in january is cheaper out of ISP rather than LGA.

When did you look up these flights? Every Tuesday SWA publishes new flight specials.

I looked up this deal, cheapest I found was 114 each way. I got jet blue for 84 each way

Ahhhhhh- I thought you meant on Southwest travel only. Honestly, if it saves you ALOT of headaches I'd go with the higher fare only because I'm terrible about saving money.Chat Icon

what about car service to LGA? Could that offset the price of the tickets?

Welcome to my world!
Same scenario. DD is 2 and has to pay as well. Loved not having to pay all along. We always go in Jan and never pay over 180 so hang out a bit....

Re: airline prices, would you wait?

You can book the flight now and watch to see if they go down. If they do you can re-book your same tickets at the new...lower fare and you will have a SW credit to use on future travel. (Good until 1 year from the date you first booked.) I do this ALL the time.
