homeowners with bully breeds
we're in contract with a house right now and need to find a company that not only has flood insurance but will insure a pit mix that doesn't cost a million bucks. we got a quote for $1200 w/3 dogs but my MIL made the mistake of telling them she's a pitbull and it jumped to $3700!!!   so now we're trying to find a different company that won't cost us a million bucks

Why even tell them?? When asked what breed she is....answer mutt  I have an American Bulldog (kinda looks like a pit) and when asked about her for my homeowners I said she was a bulldog with no specifics.

We have 2 pit mixes and a toy poodle. Our ins company only knows about the poodle.
