Re: have to vent
You WILL raise your daughter!!! I am very sorry about your husband not getting the job. But never for one second think that you will not be your daughter's parent because you work. Molly loves her daycare teachers, but I am her mother 110%. She has never, once even questioned it. When she cries she has never cried for her daycare teacher..ever. She calls for me at night when she wakes up. When I go to pick her up after working she literally runs to me screaming "Mommy" with a big smile on her face. It is hard going back ,but maybe your husband will get an even better offer in the future. Hugs.

Re: have to vent
You will always be your daughters mommy. My Fiance used to be the one that stayed with her all day until recently we put her in day care. She always wants her mommy when she don't feel good when she gets hurt if she wakes in the nite and in the morning its always mommy

Maybe it will only be temporary and an even better job for him will come along.

Im sorry, I can imagine how disappointed you are. But please know that even if you work, YOU will be the one raising your baby. No one can replace mommy!!!

Re: have to vent
I just went back to work the beginning of this month. Truthfully, its not as bad as I thought. I miss my son terribly all day, but its good to be able to get out and have an "adult life" too. I mean, in a perfect world, I would stay home in a second if I could, but I expected to be hysterically crying all time from missing him.

Re: have to vent
I have always believed that everything happens for a reason....
It will probably take time fr you to realize what that reason was, but hopefully it'll be a good one down the road somewhere.
I didn't want to go back to work either. I went back at 8 weeks and it just seemed too soon for me. It is really hard some days but you get through it and as mch as I feel I'm not there enough for my daughter she definately has a connection with me that there isn't with anyone else.

Re: have to vent
I agree with the others - no one is raising your daughter but you. My kids (who've been in daycare since they were 3 months old) know who the mommy is.
