Closing question

I know everyone says you sign a ton of things at closing

what do you actually sign?
Do you sign a copy of your credit report/bank statements?

The reason I ask is our real estate agent is a friend and I am really hoping he doesn't see that..it doesnt bother DH but it bothers me LOL

or is it more just like loan documents etc

Re: Closing question

No, you don't even really know what your signing LOL, our lawyer sat in between us and explained each paper in a short summary, we were just like yeah ok like we knew what he was talking about and just signed away, but it's all legal documents no bank statements or anything like that

Exactly-your lawyer has looked over everything and they are looking out for your best interest. You would be there for 5 days if you read everything. Just sign where they tell you to sign and initial......87 times.

I totally agree as well and just wanted to add that your agent (and selling agent) usually sits off to the side and doesn't even see any papers that are going back and forth. They wait on the side for their check and that's it Chat Icon

Good luck and congrats!!

Re: Closing question

We just closed on 10/5.. our REA is our friend as well and he was not involved or saw what we were signing. Only our attorney did since he did explain everything to us.
