I need help - I am addicted to buying condiments.
I must have 8 different types of dressings, 6 diff types of marinades, 3 diff types of bbq sauce, 2 mustards, tartar sauce, horseradish, worcestershire, A1, hot sauce, you name it - I have it.
They're taking over my fridge.

start making your own.
make them in small batches...when you want a salad with a balsamic vinaigrette...make it.
vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, a touch of honey...yum.
same with marinades.
in my fridge, I only have premade salad dressing b/c in my first trimester, I couldn't make anything...and we were eating salad....and then for my baby shower.
but you will find once you start making your own...you won't go back to store bought.
all you need is a few nice vinegars, worcestershire sauce (whicn technically you could also make, but I don't) soy sauce, a nice dijon mustard, olive oil, honey and you can make a plethora of sauces and marinades that you make in small batches and don't have to save.
lemons, limes, herbs, garlic, shallots...the combinations are boundless.
it's slightly (but not much) more work than just opening a bottle...but the results are well worth the effort. and you'll get some cabinet space and the door to your fridge back.
this past weekend I marinated london broil in chopped garlic, lime juice, cilantro, salt, pepper, olive oil, diced jalapeno and a touch of mexican chili powder. the only thing I wanted to add but I was out of is tequila. it was delicious, and a great way to use up the rest of the above that I had used to make a kick *** guacamole. it took less than 10 minutes, and nothing went back into the fridge.

Thanks Ophelia. I just feel like I have zero time. I don't buy fresh fruits and veggies b/c I work late and we really only eat a home-cooked meal MAYBE three times a week.
I need to revamp my kitchen food-wise.
I just started cooking since we moved in so my timing is off... It's getting better though.
