Obsession

I am starting to become obsessed with ttc and our if issues. I hate it, I sometimes feel like I can't take another bfn. I even called DH yesterday at work twice to complain to him how I upset I was that the drs office called me to move the appt. to two days later than our original appointment. I am so busy in my everyday life so its not like I have the time to sit around and think about it all day.

Am I the only one who thinks about ttc and if related things all day? What do you do to stop thinking about?

Re: Obession

All day everyday! I work from home, so it's very easy for me to become distracted with TTC and websites and all that other stuff. I also have 9 friends who are PG right now, so I'm surrounded by it. (not including the friends with kids already) Whenever I see a pregnant woman or baby on tv I burst into tears. I'm on my 10th month TTC now, and I honestly don't think I can take much more either. So, yes..I definitely feel your pain.

Re: Obsession

It was worse when I was less busy at work and this was all so new to me. Now I have a lot on my plate and I find it's gotten much better. I still think about it 1000x per day but it justn't feel like I am obsessing over it anymore KWIM?

I'm there with you!

It's hard to focus on much else. The bad thing is... somedays... I get REALLY depressed about it.

Re: Obsession

I'm one month away from my 2 year mark.....and its absolutely killing me.

No reason has been found for my IF......except that its Unexplained which is so frustrating......I can't begin to tell you.

My life is surrounded by babies and children so there is no getting around it! It absolutely sux. You just hope that one day, some day, something will just give, and it will happen.

I have gotten somewhat better........I try not to go on these boards as much. And I try not to google everything in sight which is what I used to do.

I just go about life..........hoping my Magical Day will come! I sometimes wonder what I did in life to deserve this.....but I have learned that I did nothing......it's my fate and my way of life and not a thing I can do about it. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Sorry to tell you this but it doesn't get better until you either get PG or give up TTC. I struggled with IF for 15 months and it was painful every step of the way. Going to therapy and talking to ladies on this board helped somewhat. Best of luck!

this is so true!! I was so obsessed that I still have the habit of waking up in the am and gi=oing straight to LIF IF board.. I feel scarred (cant think of any other word) for life... I feel all of your pain, anxiety all of it as if it were still me.. I suffered 4 years b4 I finally recieved my miracle!! Good luck.. This board is all that saved me,, truthfully!

Re: Obsession

It comes and goes for me. Although I'm on here a lot, I "google" fewer IF-related questions now. I think I am less-obsessed for 2 reasons. #1: We just bought a house so I can obsess over that instead. Chat Icon #2. I'm embarassed to admit this but I almost come to expect a BFN now each month. It's not that I've given up hope, I think I've just come to accept this now. In the past, every time I burped or whatever-ed, I used to run to google to find out whether or not burping was a sign of pregnancy. Now, I just think of burps as burps.
