Design Star - Outdoor Challenge
I've read a lot of posts on this board about Bamboo and how it can be really invasive and completely overtake your yard.
That's why it surprised me to see the designers on HGTV's Design Star plant bamboo in the client's yard.

Re: Design Star - Outdoor Challenge
I thought the same extact thing when I watched it last night. Sure it will become a living wall......a living wall that you will never be able to get rid of and hopefully it doesn't crack the pool or cement near by. Of course that would probably take many years to get out of control, but not good at all. But I do love the look of the bamboo, what a shame it's so invasive.

I know people who have built barriors and have never had any problems with the bamboo.

Apparently, there is more than one type of bamboo. Clumping bamboos are non-invasive, but the running bamboos are.
