Do I have enough time to train for Cow Harbor?
I have been working out consistently but not getting in any long runs this summer - only short ones. I have also been doing a lot of Zumba to prepare for teaching classes in the fall...
I can probably train about 2-3 days a week from now until the race - think I can do it?
Any tips for people who think I can for a 2-3 day a week training?
TIA

Re: Do I have enough time to train for Cow Harbor?
how long can you run now? If you can do 3 miles I think you are ok.
this weekend do a 3.5 mile run 9/5 - 4 miles 9/12 - 5 miles 9/19 - 6 miles
If you can do more - you might want to test out on a Wednesday night CH training run - they have groups of all abilities (the last 2 groups only did 3.5 miles the last 2 weeks, so you might not be as behind as you think)

ITA. And then the other 1-2 days that you can run, I would try to do about 3 miles each time. Good luck!

I am going for it. My running has not been up to par but I am really trying to build back up. I did a 3.5 mile run last night and I'm planning on doing Cow Harbor come hell or high water

I have been doing the training runs with the running club on wednesday nights and have found them helpful. Trust me, there are people of all ability levels there so I would definitely do that if I were you.

I have been there too! I usually wear a white visor (I have long brown hair) - I'm in the E group.

Hey Erica,
I am in the G group(also known as slow as hell). I have shoulder length brown hair in a ponytail and I wear one of those rubber bands to keep the flyaways back. Maybe I'll spot you there.
Last night was so much better than last week.

Re: Do I have enough time to train for Cow Harbor?
Thank you all for posting this info. I can only get to run 4x a week (around 9pm after babies are in bed). I go about 3.5 miles and I was scared that I had committed to Cow Harbor. I think I am still going to go for it- even if I am the very last one to finish the course!
