As soon as I get AF, my RE is "taking control of my cycle" as he put it. So I have to go for monitoring CD3, CD12 (when he said i'll get a trigger shot), CD21 and I assume CD28 for a beta. Silly question but do I have to pay copays at each of those visits? I'm assuming yes. When you go for repeat betas, are there copays for those (if it matters my RE's office has its own lab)? I ask bc I never paid a copay at my OBs office for betas (in fact she did a beta on my every cycle at 7DPO so we'd know if I was PG early and to test my progesterone) so I'm curious if it will be different elsewhere...

Re: Copays

I would think you would have to pay a copay because they would be considered office visits. Last month I saw my RE on CD3, CD10 and then from CD12 on to like CD 16 for monitoring. Then I had back to back IUI's and last week went for a progesterone check. Each and everytime I went, I had to pay a copy. $15 doesn't sould like alot, until you have to pay $15 for 10 days straight. And my RE has a lab in his office also.

Re: Copays

My RE charges for the whole cycle and then I pay my co-insurance of 10% of reasonable and customary.

It probably works out about the same. My out of pocket for the last cycle was about $300 not including the IUI.

Thanks for the info ladies. That's what I thought... Unfortunately my copay is $30 so this is going to get expensive real quick and I've already blown through my FSA.

I have paid at every visit, even if it was just a quick blood draw. My copay is $25; I feel your pain.

Re: Copays

I had to pay $25 per visit for sonos but had no copay for blood draws. I know it adds ups but hopefully this will be your only month! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Copays

I am going through this now. My co pay is 40 and last week alone I was there twice. I have 1 appointment this up coming week and I am scheduled for a test hsg and blood work. So that is going to be another 120 bucks.

Re: Copays

I pay a copay for every visit. I wish it weren't like that because I have to pay $50 per visit.

I pay my $20 co-pay for every Dr. visit inlcuding sonos. I don't pay for appointments with the nurse for blood tests, etc.

Re: Copays

I pay a Co-pay every time I go, even if it's just for the beta which I skipped last cycle b/c I couldn't see paying $25, driving 30 mins and finding someone to watch DD to be told something I already knew by POAS at home..lol
