This isn't going to be everyone's style, but....

I painted these shutters, and I love how they look. Chat Icon If you remember, last week I had asked what to do with them and everyone said paint them white, but I decided to rub paint on it to give it a worn look. So, here's my question: should I take some sand paper to it?

Maybe rub another coat of paint on them, then use sandpaper to give them a worn look?

I agree. add at least one more coat. you want it to look like the paint is wearing off on the ends...but you want it to look white.

right now, it just looks unfinished.

I love those! What about crackling it? It's the perfect style for a treatment like that.

I would def add another coat. Then sandpaper or crackle as the AP said. But def another coat.

i would also make some dents and scratches in them for a real authentic distressed look.

And THIS is why I post hereChat Icon You girls give me the best advice on what to do in my houseChat Icon Thank you everyone! I think I'm going to do another coat (I rubbed the paint on), then use some sandpaper and see what happens.
