Re: Uterine Fibroids?
I did/do...however RE said it was in the top right portion of my uterus that would not likely effect implantation...so we left it alone.
That being said, it could cause problems when you get pregnant. It did cause me bleeding at week 16 which freaked me out and has put me on mod. bed rest. Apparently if you dont drink enough water the fibriod can rupture and cause pre-term labor. I have been drinking over 100 ozs of water a day But am at 29 weeks and going strong!
The flip side is there is a recoup time if you decide to have it removed...3-6 months...or so my OB said.

thanks for the info -- wow that is a long recoup time -- mine are in the top right as well - maybe I'll see if we can leave these alone.
thanks again

Re: Uterine Fibroids?
I have 1 fibroid, it is 7cm which is pretty large. At first we thought it would have to be removed, but after weighing all pros and cons we decided to leave it alone. It is not protruding into my uterus at all and the surgery can cause a lot of scar tissue causing the fallopian tubes to close up. My RE and a 2nd opinion both felt I was better off not doing anything at this point. That being said there are risks involved now that I am PG including pre-term labor like PP said. Good luck and if I can be of any help don't hesitate to fm me.
