Long Beach Island Anyone???

I'm going next week for a few days with my family, my sister's family and my parents. Would love to hear suggestions about family friendly things to do and places to eat.

love LBI! i grew up in south jersey, so i grew up going there.. haven't been for a couple years though.
theres a water park and small amusement park type thing there for the kids... theres also a few mini golf places that are fun. you can take a ride to the Barnaget Lighthouse and check that out.
as far as places to eat, i can't really remember any off the top of my head, but theres lots of stuff around, so you'll find something! have fun!

The Boat house has a great view, need reservations, foods pretty good. The beach house has good food, nice dining, no view, need reservations.

Best breakfast Scojos or the Chicken and the egg.

Best take out (with tables outside) PINKYS>>>Must have if you like seafood.

Try the singing ice cream parlor..I think its called show time or somethin reservatrions req. Be sure to order something plain if don't want to sing. Its a good time though.

Look for coupons to amusement park fantasy Island in your hotel telephone book. Its expensive but cute. Ont the maps there are some coupons for restaurant too. Worthwhile because nothing is cheap. I have vacationed there for ten years with my family, but unfortunately this summer we have chosen not to return.

We just got back from there. We usually eat in most of the time when we're there - so I don't have any restaurant recs really.

If you are planning on eating in - it's a lot more affordable to buy stuff off of the island - there is a Walmart, Target Shoprite, Pathmark, BJs and Costco right off the Garden State Pkwy exit.

Fantasy Island in Beach Haven has a pay one price for rides on Fri afternoon - my friend took her kids there on Fri and loved it. There's also mini-golf and a ton of good places for ice cream.
