Anyone been to Napa Valley, CA?
I have to fly out to San Fran for some client meetings in 2 weeks and my boyfriend is planning to meet me out there so we could do a little road trip to Napa and hit some of the wineries. Has anyone been? Is it pretty? Worth the trip? Recommendations on where to stay, what vineyards to visit, would be most appreciated! Thank you!!!!!

So worth it!! My favorite place on earth.
So to Sonoma too.
There are so many vineyards. My favorites were Sequoia Grove, Mumm, Robert Sinski..I have to think about the Sonoma ones. Rodney Strong was great too. We saw Michael McDonald there. He did a casual concert with a small band..we had a blast.
We stayed in Healdsberg in Sonoma.

Try to get to some vineyards in the Russian River Valley.
Napa is huge!

Re: Anyone been to Napa Valley, CA?
Definitely worth it! I like the tour at Mondavi in Napa. I really like V. Sattui, also in Napa, they have great wines and a nice picnic area on the grounds. There is also a deli/store where you can by food to go with your wine for a picnic.
I actually prefer Sonoma, though. The downtown area there is really nice, and one of the Califonia Missions is there. I love the view from Gloria Ferrer - a great place to relax with a drink and look down the hill at the vineyards. I also liked the Sebastiani tour.
Word of advice - it might be cool and foggy in SF, but it is HOT in Napa and Sonoma in the summer. Be sure you have layers for the city, but summer clothes for wine country.
