Bills
Just curious...who primarily handles the bills in your relationship or do you do them together? Although I have been doing the bills, I tend to overthink things to death and that leads me to mistakes. DH seems to have an overall better handle on things. He'll suggest something to me and then I'm like, why didn't I think of it that way? I am thinking I am going to have him take over when we move into the house. He agreed to this, but we have also talked about doing them together.
Also, do any of you do automatic billing? If so, do you like it? It would really be helpful to hear different perspectives.

We both do. Sit down together. Yes, it takes a bit longer but we are both a team at this.
We only do automatic billing for flat rates (ex. cell phone) and we put that on our credit card so we can rack up the bonuses.
Credit cards get paid off at the end of every month.
Extra principle to mortage every month.
We track our savings every month.

I do all the bills. DH is so bad with finances. I pay the bills, track our savings/investments, and made a spreadsheet for him with all our financial info should he ever need it!
I, personally, don't like automatic billing. I prefer to pay everything when and how I want. I do prefer online bill pay, though.

I do and I have as many things automatically charged to our credit card or taken out of checking as possible.
ETA: I get rewards for our credit card so I try to charge as much as I can. We always pay the credit card in full too.

DH handles them. We use online bill pay and since he works for the bank, he knows the system better than I do.

I handle all the bills and all the finances. DH gets an allowance, so he goes to the ATM machine and takes out XXX amount of money each week....that's it.

I handle all of the bills It can be stressful being the only one. He doesn't even know where anything is if he did have to pay them.

I do them.
Before we married DH paid a lot of bills late by mistake and this led to very high interest charges, etc- I go through everything with a fine toothed comb- i call on discrepencies, etc (whereas in the past he just paid- never looked over, etc)

We do the same. I agree it takes longer but then we both know exactly where we stand on cash flow and expenses. I use to do them alone, then he took over for awhile and now we found this is the best method.

Thank you for all of the responses. I like the idea of doing something like this- where we can rack up points. I'll have to look into it more. I know one of my credit cards accumulates points. Do you get cash back or can you buy things? Or is it a mixture of both, depending on the card?

I know it sounds silly but I also do the bills and when I had the scare with my heart, I asked my dh if he even knew the name of the life ins. company I have and he said no. Before my dad died, he made up spreadsheets for my mom with EVERYTHING on it she needed to know about their finances. Each person really needs to know what is going on, just in case. Life DOES happen!

Is it easy to use Quicken? Could you tell me a little bit about it? I am assuming it is a money management software that you install. Thanks! I am clueless to this.
