"I guess your ovaries like Clomid!"

I had my first follie check this morning and I had a total of 6 follies. 1 is measuring at 14 and 2 at 13.5. The others at 11 or under. The NP kept saying "oh boy!" I'm overwhelmed and not sure what to think. She mentioned that my doctor might not do the IUI "because you're young" but to bring the Ovidrel just in case? Anyone every experience anything similar? I'm so new to this but so ready!

For my 1st IUI, I had 5 or 6 mature follies. The dr called me and talked to me about the possibility of "twins or greater" and we talked about selective reduction. She was hesitant to do the IUI unless we knew and accepted the possibility of multiples. It was exciting and scary to think about all of that.

Talk to your dr nd see what they recommend.

SOmetimes they won't all continue to mature. I think it's good news! Also, you know you are responding to the medication - next cycle you might just need a lesser dose. Good luck!

I had up to 9 follies when doing Follistim injections and still went ahead with IUI. Sadly I did not get PG from IUI. It took IVF to get DD. Best of luck!
