silly question
So after the embryo transfer, is it possible for the embies to move into the tubes? I think this is what an ectopic pregnancy is, right?
Do you think sleeping on your side could move the embies to the tubes?
I know, sound ridic but I was up at 4am thinking about it

Re: silly question
I do know that IVFs can result in ectopics, but I don't think gravity has much to do with it. I honestly don't know why it happens...doesn't make sense, unless you were on a loop de loop roller coaster right after transfer, which would just be plain silly! haha

Re: silly question
yeah you know what that is a good question Shiv. But wait now I'm confused....I thought that the embryos were put into your uterus....how can they end up in the fallopian tubes?? Isnt that one of the benefits of IVF- to bypass the tubes all together? I must sound like a dope LOL

Re: silly question
It can happen - it happened to a friend of mine actually after her transfer last year. And I believe it has happened to someone that used to be on these boards.
I don't know how it happens but it can. I think its a fluke thing though, and I would NOT stress over it. And no, I'm sure your sleeping position has nothing to do with it

Re: silly question
I heard that it is possible but exceptionally rare. I'm sure that sleeping on your side will not affect it! After my last transfer, I was convinced that I would somehow pee out the embryos...
