those who highlight
usually when get highligts its the powder form and of course as we know it can be more and more damaging over time. well my girl used something new. i have no idea what the name is (i can look into it) but it is an oil based color that does contain bleach...but it is more like a color. i did a full head of highlights and my hair is soft and shiny an silky. i cant see ever going back to powder. plus you can choose from actual color samples like you do with regular color as well. now i can go as blonde as i want and not have to worry!

Re: those who highlight
Is it possible for you to find out whether this can be used over hair that already has a single process? I did not want to stop doing my all over color so I had to get bleach hi-lights last time. I finally let them grow out and now I have no hi-lights but I do have single process color in my hair. I'm glad you found something that you like!

it definitely is possible. my hair has been colored 1000 times and i went to her with a color and highlights already in.

Re: those who highlight
Just so you know, they can mix a color in with any bleach. My girl does this... she uses the right amount of bleach for lift- and mixes it with a color to give me a caramel or honey highlight over my medium brown natural hair. This way it's not too blonde. The color mixed in with the bleach is kinder to the hair as well- because as the bleach is stripping color and opening the hair shaft- the color is filling in the hairshaft so it's less damaging...
You would just have to ask for this...

Re: those who highlight
that is good to know. i think what i liked about this product though is that i could actually pick a color from the hair samples so i knew exactly what i was getting!
