pregesterone injections

so since retreival dh has been giving me progesterone injections in the backside every morning,

does anyone else have this problem -
i have a hard ball on each side where he does the injection
i do rub it after he does the injection but still it's there
is this normal

are you icing?

i found that when i iced after (one time - i learned my lesson) that i did get that kind of reaction.

also, are you varying the injection site? i just had my DH massage the oil in afterward and i didn't really have a problem. it was hard to the touch, but not really a big lump if that makes sense.

no i don't ice, this one doesn't hurt, i've actually never iced for any injection,
he varies in as far as switching sides each day but stays in the same area on each side, i think he's afraid to venture to far over maybe thats the problem

Not with progesterone but with other meds I've had this, I was told it was normal

have you tried putting on a warm compress after? This can help spread the oil out.

I have been on them for 4 days and so far no bumps, but one of my sides is def sore.

yeah unfortunately its normal, just remember to rub alot to minimise the bumps, after like 2 weeks they start to get itchy too there soo much fun lol

I had this too. You have to rub the spot hard to keep it from happening. IMO, the ice didn't hurt the situation. It was when DH didn't rub the spot well that I got the lump.
