There is a raccoon outside my window!!
We have a stray cat that has been coming around (actually, hes been trying to run inside the apartment) and we have been feeding him. This morning I saw he didn't finish his food so I went out to see where he was and saw a gray cat run away from the plate. I just looked outside my window and saw a HUGE raccoon .. at first I thought it was the cat from this morning.. then it turned its head and I almost passed out. I know this might sound weird but this was the closest I have ever been to one and it was kinda scary LOL
He was walking like a sea creature!  
I hope he doesn't hurt my lil "Chauncey" !!

We had a bird in the house to today. Our house was a wreck!!!! Our 2 dogs and cat chased the bird all day all over the house. Lamps were knocked over, pictures crooked, cushions off the couch, papers everywhere!!!!!

Im now in Florida and I think we are going to keep the stray. I called the local SPCA here and found out how much it would be to neuter him and give him all his shots. BUTTTTT.. I did manage to find the other one.. the grey one.... he was outside this morning eating the rest of Chauncey's food. He's soo cute!

YUCK! I HATE racoons (I'd never hurt one), but they scare me!!! I think they're cut ewhen they are far away, but as they closer to my house they scare me too!!! We have racoons and fox all over our neighborhood so if I stay out late with my girlfriends I actually call my husband on the phone from the driveway and ask that he comes out to get me!!! he loves that I still need him and feel like he protects me

Racoons are mean nasty creatures. Stay away from them.
They are not the cute creatures you see in the lazy boy commercials.
One chewed through my plastic garbage cans.

can you call the local spca and find out how you can get the racoon to a safer area? Or can they trap it and take it to a local preserve? If you can get the cat I would get him to the vet for a rabies shot and not sure if its available for cats but there is a shot my dogs called lepto something 2 series shot they got against racoons for some disease too. good luck.

I hate them! They scare me too! Even worse then raccoons is possums. One time I saw one that was so big I thought it was a dog at first, until I saw that long, skinny, hairless tail ((shivers)). Those rodents freak me out!!!!
