Re: Ladies with PCOS---have you had an AMH level
I don't have PCOS.. but my doctor thought I might because I had a very high AMH level - so I believe there's some kind of correlation there.
Mine was 12.0 - but as I said, I did not end up having PCOS, just a high ovarian reserve.
Oh - ps... I think I read that you were just diagnosed with DOR?
A little story, not sure if this will help... a good friend of mine also has DOR. She got pregnant 1x on her own on her first month trying and then had a m/c... didn't get pregnant again after a year of trying so she went to an RE. She did injectables/IUI and got pregnant on her second round but had a chemical. Then finally decided to do IVF. She started stimming and after 4-5 days only had 3-4 follies so they gave her the option of canceling the cycle and changing the protocol for next time. Anyhoo, her and her DH ended up BDing on their own... and amazingly enough, her period was a few days late... and she was pregnant! A few weeks later.. she found out that it was TWINS!
I know that DOR seems terrible, but I've seen great things happen from it! Sometimes it just takes longer to find those GOOD eggs! Good luck Shawnna
(oh and this is the friend who then sent all her meds to patty!)
