Did anyone do non-medicated IUIs?
If you don't mind my asking what was the result? That is what we're going to be starting with next month but I've been reading mixed reviews about increasing your chances.

Re: Did anyone do non-medicated IUIs?
I did one before we moved onto IVF. We are dealing with Male Factor so our post-wash numbers were only 500,000 and they like them to be at least 1,000,000 preferably 5,000,000+ so our chances really weren't that great, hence the outcome of moving onto IVF. I needed to say I at least tried it once though!

Our 3rd unmedicated IUI got us pregnant, but it was ectopic. We have MF issiues and after a few medicated IUI's we moved on to IVF.

Re: Did anyone do non-medicated IUIs?
We had male issues. DH's numbers weren't terrible, but they weren't great. We di back to back IUIs with no medication and it worked on our first try. They got great numbers after the wash and the nurses and my Dr. were pretty confident. Another thing that may have upped our chances was that I had an HSG test that month which xcan apparently "clear" the way.

Re: Did anyone do non-medicated IUIs?
I had 5 unmedicated IUI cycles and got PG in 3 of them. The first PG ended in a m/c considered to be a chemical pregnancy. The second PG resulted in an m/c at about 6-7 weeks. The third resulted in my daughter Abby. I had cervical stenosis and no cycle issues which was why we did not need meds. There were no male factor issues.
I will be 100% honest with you though. I was told unmedicated IUIs only increase your chances of conception my a percent or two even after a wash of your husband's sample. How I got PG three times at my age (37 at the time) is beyond me. Personally, I think it was pure luck. If the last IUI did not take, we were going to try once more and then move onto injectibles. We will use the same protocol for the next baby. Good luck.
If you have ANY questions PLEASE feel free to FM me ANY time. I'd be happy to help.

I'm sorry but can you be more specific about numbers? DH was found to have 9 million/cc. I am just curious what kind of numbers we'll have post-wash.
Thanks so much for the input ladies

Re: Did anyone do non-medicated IUIs?
I had unexplained IF and did 1 month of unmedicated IUI. It did not work. I think the only time an unmedicated IUI might increase chances of pregnancy is is if there is MF IF, hostile CM, or a cervical problem.
