washer & dryer
In the next few weeks to a month if anyone would like to unload a washer and dryer electric (or gas - i have to see if it is a gas hookup) I will be willing to come pick up for free or for low cost. As long as it is working condition!
Doesn't matter if they match, have marks/dents etc. The house we are buying doesn't have one and I simply can not afford to purchase new ones yet.

Re: washer & dryer
check out freecycle.org, there is a Western Suffolk group.
Also, when my dryer broke I had NO money. I ended getting a rebuilt one from an appliance repair place for $40. That was 3 years ago and it is still working great.
Congrats on the house by the way.

Re: washer & dryer
Oh I hear ya. Mine don't match, have rust, whatever. They work.
I came back to tell you that there is an appliance place on the corner of Sunrise and Straight Path that I always see advertising rebuilt w/d. It's on the corner that does NOT have Hess or 7-11 or Pollo Campo.

Re: washer & dryer
we're getting rid of ours in the next month or so. Both the washer & dryer work (and match ) - I'm just upgrading to a front loader and gas dryer. The door handle on the [electric] dryer is broken, so we have a makeshift handle to open the door.
you're welcome to them.
