Re: Marathon help

what about the Hamptons marathon?

Also, I ran Philly in 2007 and loved it! It was a fun marathon through the city and parks of Philly. And they had brownies at mile 20- mmmmmm.

Re: Marathon help

There's the Richmond Marathon in VA in November.

Rock n' roll 1/2 marathon in VA Beach in Sep.

I did the Rock n roll marathon in SD years ago-it was awesome!

Here's a link to some more:Marathon calendar

If you are in a rut...what about Cow Harbor 10K in September - it's a challenging course, but nationally rated and a lot fo fun.

I am going to do the Albany marthon on 10/11

Re: Marathon help

I'd say Hamptons too but the course is ehh a tad borring. I did the half last year.

What about one of the Rock and Roll marathons? There is one in VA beach Labor Day weekend...thats probably too soon. Or ING is hosting a rock and roll type one in Philly Sept 20th.

I'm having the same issue. I was going to run Chicago or Marnine Core this fall but I am getting married mid October and that is smack in the middle of all the fall marathons.

I think I am going to run Austin in February, but was also considering Disney in January.

See I heard that some of it is fun and but a larger percentage of the race is on a highway with very little crowd if any. I'm not sure...

Re: Marathon help

i ran disney last year. yes, a good portion is on highway with not a lot of crowd support. the section between magic kingdom and animal kingdom was particularly boring, though there were some cute little signs on the side of the road to read. despite that i had such a great overall experience that dh and i are running it again this year. where there are crowds they are awesome and it was so much fun to run through the parks. plus combining it with a vacation was a big plus for us. and disney logistics and organization really can't be beat.

if you have any specific questions about it feel free to fm me Chat Icon
